The source

Among the best handknit woolens in the world are those crafted high in the Andes. Our knitters have been creating all kinds of garments, from socks to exclusive high fashion designs, for many decades, and they are the most talented to be found anywhere.

These craftspeople work in cooperative groups scattered throughout the rural Andean highlands, friends and relatives whose leader is responsible for materials supply, training new designs, and quality control. We work closely with them throughout the process, bringing it all together for final preparation for export. We've been involved in Ecuadorian handcrafts of all kinds since the 1970s.

The materials

Wearing 100% natural wool is not just elegant. No other fiber retains body heat, especially when wet, like wool does. Dogs who spend much of their time indoors with artificial heating during cold weather definitely need protection on their outings, and these wooly WooFurs are just the thing. In the spring, look for our line of cotton handknits for your shivery shorthaired friends, or for those who simply appreciate high fashion without quite needing the protection of wool.

WooFurs are completely colorfast and washable (by machine on gentle cycle, or by hand, in cold water and mild detergent, laying flat to dry).

We accept any size order,
from one sweater to thousands

We supply retail outlets, large and small, but you may place individual orders online, with any major credit card, by using the buttons in the SHOPPING section.

Please note that your bill will reflect a charge from CCNow, our authorized online retailer.

We understand that you may prefer to order and pay in the conventional non-electronic way. In that case, feel free to contact us by e-mail.

WooFurs wholesale orders are custom-made which makes it possible for us to work with you on any modifications (sizing, colors, designs, shapes) you would like to see converted into these high quality articles, requiring very small minimum orders to do so.

Shipping

IndividualWooFurs orders placed from the designs, colors and sizes shown here are shipped out in 2-5 days by certified international parcel post at no additional cost, with delivery expected in 8-18 days more. You may choose Express mail service for an additional charge when you are placing your order, which will shorten delivery time to 5-7 days. For wholesale shipments, we look forward to answering everything you need to know about parcel-post, air freight, US Customs procedures, etc. Please get in touch.

Basic Styles

All designs come in both pullovers and full-length sweaters.

Pullovers are straight around the bottom, coming
to just below the ribs and have a rolled collar.

Full-length sweaters come in turtleneck, and have hind-leg straps to keep them on snugly. They cover to the base
of the tail on the back, but are cut higher on the belly.

We have custom tailoring for hard-to-fit breeds (greyhounds, dachshunds, Dobies, bulldogs, etc). Please contact us before placing your order.

Size Chart

Find the row for the correct length, measured in inches from the base of the neck to the base of the tail (standing), follow the row across to the column under the weight of your dog. For dogs not found within these ranges, or with any special fitting considerations, see below.

We are happy to do size XXXS for dogs weighing less than 5 pounds on special order. XXL and XXXL are also special order items which will take ten days to ship. If you feel that any other unusual shapes (large head, wasp-waist, etc.) should be taken into account, please feel free to request such "tailoring" by e-mailing us before you order.
